The Egyptian Government – in its policy to modernize and upgrade the Egyptian industry – encourages the transfer of technology through co-production programs and multinational projects. The transfer of technology can be accomplished through know how, coproduction, or licensing arrangements.
One of the most important industrial areas to be developed is the feeding industries as an important start for upgrading and restructuring the different sectors of the Egyptian industry such as automotive industry, textile industry, food processing industry, electronics…etc. The feeding industries are the corner stone in the development of the main industries. On the other hand, the feeding industries can be viewed as a rich environment for small and medium enterprises, which are in turn an excellent area for intensive employment
Taking the above into consideration, V&E is active in the industrial sector through co-production and localizing programs with know how providers. The key factors that control the choice of the co-production programs are as follows:
